Created in 2012, LabelBox is one of the pioneers in the subscription box market. Originally specialized in the pet retail box market, the startup has diversified and offers wellness, leisure and nutrition (« Mon Panier Minceur ») boxes. The startup also produces white label boxes for media seeking to monetize their audience.
LabelBox is profitable, has doubled its sales in two years and forecasts a turnover of 4.5 million euros and currently counts about twenty employees.
LabelBox model, which consists in developing two to three new boxes per year in partnership with brands, has proved its efficiency. The company will continue on this path, but at a faster pace.
Lagardère Active acquired a majority stake in LabelBox in May 2017. The communication Group is in the process of refocusing on publishing and airport retailing. It therefore decided to sell the business. That’s when Antoine Chabassol, co-founder of LabelBox, seized the opportunity. By acquiring Lagardère Active’s shares, Antoine Chabassol became the company’s main shareholder with six employees of the company.
