Founded in 2016 by Dieynaba Ndoye, WAAM Cosmetics, the specialist in DIY (do-it-yourself) cosmetics, has just raised €5m from We Positive Invest 2, the new impact fund launched by Arkéa Capital, Karot Capital and Pierre Cazaux.
WAAM Cosmetics offers an innovative and transparent approach to beauty, promoting natural ingredients, to be used alone or assembled in beauty recipes that the brand shares on its online store.
The aim of this fundraising is to accelerate the company’s development, at a time when it is launching Magic Powders, a new range of hygiene products in powder form composed of 100% natural active and organic ingredients that turn into foam on contact with water: toothpaste, shower powder, shampoo and facial cleanser.
« We are very proud to have the support of Arkéa Capital, which reinforces our fight for more responsible cosmetics. We are working every day to find solutions to reduce the environmental impact of one of the world’s most polluting industries”, declares Dieynaba Ndoye, founder of WAAM Cosmetics.
“We are very pleased to partner with Dieynaba to help her accelerate the development of the brand she founded in 2016. We were seduced by the proposed approach, in a sector where the environmental footprint is significant”, says Vincent Picarello, Investment Director at Arkéa Capital.
“Dieynaba has done a remarkable job in making WAAM Cosmetics a unique and beautiful brand with strong values that are highly appreciated by its community”, says Charles-Antoine Morand, Partner at Karot Capital.
