Brussels-based app store optimisation expert AppTweak has just announced that it has completed a $22 million Series B round led by early investor Groupe Rossel.
Founded in 2014 by Olivier Verdin and Sébastien Dellis, AppTweak offers an App Store Optimization software suite (including ad, app and market intelligence) to clients like Amazon, Zynga, HBO Max, Adobe, or Yelp. The company tracks over 3 million keywords on a daily basis and has to date performed over 400 keyword audits and recommendations to it c.1,500 customer base. AppTweak recorded 956.76% revenue growth between 2016 and 2019, and currently counts offices in four cities, Brussels, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Bengaluru with 47 full time employees speaking 16 languages.
When questioned about the efficacy of ASO, Verdin comments, “Doing ASO for a mobile game in a new country (localisation, keyword optimisation, etc.) brings in an average improvement of +34% in visibility. It is also important to understand that ASO is not a one shot process, but an iterative process that you must keep doing, in order to get the best results.”
This Series B will allow AppTweak to develop its ASO platform at a global level by opening new offices in APAC & EMEA, recruiting top talents and developing new ASO-related features. The company aims at multiplying by 5 its revenues by 2025.
